I didn't find the premier to be the chore all you guys are making it out to be.

I didn't either, but I did pause it a few times.

First season ended tonight.

I enjoyed the show. Those who gave up, I encourage you to watch the whole season because it gained strength. Tried to establish characters at the same time starting heavy plots when we haven't developed an investment in the characters yet. I can see why people had trouble with the first couple episodes being slow but you could say that about many books or tv shows that turned into classics. HBO has set the bar high with past shows so by comparison it might not be as good but it has a lot of potential. Ray Romano has been fantastic.

The chord progression scene where the manager is showing how it was basically the same through several decades of hits was money.

Pilot was terrible. Rest of the show was fantastic. Glad. I stayed. Cannavale is amazing. Perfectly cast.

Has any show-movie-song--made you wanna do cocaine more than this one?

Still love the show, but that didn't feel like a finale to me.

One of the few things that this show gets 100% wrong is the reaction to snorting coke. That whole thing of Ritchie looking like he just got hit with a tazer. No. Anybody who's done it and been around it knows it doesn't really elicit that kind of spazzy, berserk reaction. They should have dialed that down a notch or two.

This show really hit its stride by the end of the season. Ray Romano was incredible. He should win an Emmy and/or a Golden Globe. Finale is one of the best episodes of a TV show I've ever seen.

I just finished it and didn't realize it was the finale, either. But since we get another season, I'm stoked about the various storylines they've set up so patiently. Looks like CBGB could play a big role, which should be entertaining.

One of the best scenes of any show I've seen this year.

You're right. I just figured that was cannavale being Cannavale.

Caught an episode last night for the first time. It was the one where the Naught Bits band opens up for the New York Dolls or something.

I really liked it. I'm gonna have to go back and binge watch this.

I like the show especially seeing the vintage hifi gear.

Richie is constantly doing blow which is kinda irritating.

Just wanted to post the scene spoken of earlier where Lester is teaching the Nasty Nits about chord progression. The show really took off at this point, something clicked into gear
