Anyone questioning Vaughns range is dumb. He has played some pretty dark& dramatic characters. I like everything about this casting so far.

I've been waiting for Swingers Vince Vaughn for a long time. He is going to kill this.

I really liked Vince Vaughn in The Cell. I think he'll do a great job.

I'm sick of Colin Farrell as a cop though. Maybe I'm just sick of him in general. His dramatic roles all seem to blend together.

I never saw the Psycho remake with Vaughn. How was he in that?

I have a feeling this is going to go the way of American Horror Story... Great 1st season, but a swing and a miss on the second season.

What the frick?

That's a pretty huge leap based solely on the casting of Vince Vaughn.

Farrell is going to knock this out of the park. Even though no one has noticed(because his name is box office poison), he has put in some great roles in the past five or so years. Saving Mr Banks, Dead Man Down, Seven Psychopaths, Crazy Hart, and In Bruges all show that he has plenty of talent, and some nice range of characters.

Vince Vaughn can definitely do his role justice. His problem is that he is lazy, and just gets a paycheck for movies. Him playing Vince Vaughn as Vince Vaughn in a Vince Vaughn movie is beyond old. He was actually descent last year in the dramatic movie Delivery Man. Swingers and Into the Wild are two movies of his that he impresses as well.

No, I have said it before he was announced. I think they had a great first season and actors they could have continued with. Think its a huge risk to go the AHS route and try to reinvent greatness.

As for Vince Vaughn goes, I said I hoped I was wrong. I'm just gonna have a difficult time taking him seriously being almost all of his stuff is comedic performances.

I'm just going to enjoy this. I've already reconciled it in my mind that season 1 was a flash in the pan that likely won't ever be reporduced by TD ever again. The premise to the show (occult history of the US transportation system) seems... odd. But, frick it, I've gone with much worse (looking at you SOA). All I need to know is who will be this year's Alexandra Daddario? And can this new director(s) live up to what Fukunaga did in season 1 (arguably the biggest achievement of that whole season).

I can't stand Vaughn, hopefully he doesn't babble non stop throughout the show.

Yep. Return to Paradise was another good one he did.

Well aside from pursuing some dark Tuttle backstory, what else could they have done that wouldn't involve going in some completely different direction? IMO, the first season deserves to be left as it is. Don't explore the cult, don't explor the Tuttles. Too many horror franchises make the mistake of exploring the boogeymen as though we should get to know them. frick that. What makes them awful and frightening is that their intentions and motivations are completely incomprehensible. Making a direct sequel or prequel season to season 1 of TD would kill the mystique.

I think it's going to be interesting to see how season 2 of TD stacks up next to season 2 of Fargo. Both are going in somewhat different directions as Fargo is offshooting the present day story line with a season about a past incident referred to in season 1.

I guess Vince Vaughn is next up on the career renaissance list.

Sick burn bro. Good thing Matthew McConaughey never cashed in on an easy paycheck in any of his previous movie roles.
