Watched last night. Thought it was pretty damn funny. Chris Hemsworth was my favorite character and definitely an OT 10

You serious Clark?

Listen, let me preface this by saying that the original Vacation is one of my all time favorite comedies.

That being said, I feel like people tend to gloss over the quality of this movie due to nostalgia.

one of the worst movies ever.

thor as a southerner was just horrible.

rusty doesn't come close to clark.

i like applegate but , she wasn't good in this.

seems like they tried to make a movie about a young kid who curses a lot...

So much fail in this thread.

Just FYI, I'm in the "The original is a classic and shouldn't be touched and the new one is terrible" camp.

Laughed a few times (Especially when he looked at the photo album and they kept the pictures of all the old cast). I felt they tried way to hard.

All Vacation movies are great. The original is amazing. Christmas is a pure classic. European has some hilarious moments even though it felt a bit mailed in. Vegas even more so but still funny. The latest was funny but please keep it separated from the original four when referring to the Vacation movies. There is only one Vacation.

Where are y'all watching it? Is it on HBO or Netflix yet, or just DVD?

I couldn't make it through the whole thing - as a good bit of it was awful, but I laughed my arse off at a couple of the gags.

And Jesus, Chase has gotten so big he looked winded just by dialogue. Dude needs to drop the fork.

Did not care for the remake.

I lost a lot of interest while watching it.

I guess I should give it another try since this thread seems to have quite a few that enjoyed it.

I'm not kidding I could literally tell in the opening line that it was going to be awful. It was.

If probably quote that one more than any of the others.

"I think he's gonna pork her, dad".

"Look kids, Big Ben, Parliament".

Pretty hilarious movie. Cringe worthy at times though.
