Filming hasn't started yet, but according to the fine sleuths at Vevmo, the cast will be leaving in the first two weeks of June. The rumor is that this will be a Bloodlines theme, so each cast member will be competing in a pair with a relative.

They're basically taking a page from Survivor. I don't like the theme because I mostly enjoy watching the cast members interact over seasons, with some familiar faces coming back. However, MTV is in a tough spot. Real World hasn't been renewed for Season 31, there hasn't been a Fresh Meat in a long time, and even people from Fresh Meat II are starting to retire.

Diem and Knight's deaths took away some people's enthusiasm, as Jemmye retired and possibly CT as well. Sarah is getting married sometime this summer so she won't be competing, and Jordan has plenty of money now so he can try other stuff until he runs out of his Exes II winning. Plus Wes continues to have a real job.

So the producers' hands are a bit tied. I hated the Are You the One twist and it seems like we are going to be seeing even fewer Real World and Challenge people this year.

The speculated cast is absolutely dismal so far, outside of one pleasant surprise. I can see this being the final season bc it barely inspires me to watch. If I'm only watching out of obligation, then they'll lose most of their audience.

They need Emily and Avery. Cooke turned them down, as did a bunch of other females, including everyone's favorite local waitress, Madison. Turns out a bunch of them are pregnant, including Jasmine, Theresa, Kim from Hollywood, Katie Doyle, and Jenny from Ex-Plosion.

Theresa got knocked up by an NFL player who is on a practice squad, I think. Hadn't heard of the player before.

On the guys' side, Wes, Leroy, Adam from AYTO and last season of Exes II, and Johnny Reilly got calls. Frank and likely Zach turned them down. As did Isaac. Trey basically revealed the theme on Twitter, so thanks, Trey.
