There is a video game coming out on almost exactly this premise.

The protagonist is an employee left behind in the evacuation, and it’s set one day after the films.

The Dino AI, especially for the raptors, is supposedly terrifying. Pack dinos will lay dynamic, unscripted traps for you.

For "modern audiences" aka every character is a black woman or trans.

The raptor in the kitchen scene is some solid horror/suspense too.

I actually loved The Lost World book

I'll never understand why they made Crichton write the second book only to ignore 90% of it.

Spielberg really really really wanted to have dinosaurs in a city sequence.

It’s a flawed film, but I still enjoy it.

I’m in a weird minority where I actually like and will watch all 6 of them without much hesitation. 3 and 5 being my least favorites.

6 isn’t good by any means but the fan service was all over the place and I was good with that.

But I also like Meg 1 and 2 so I’m not the best person to ask.

Even though the 2nd and 3rd ones were no where near the same level as the 1st one, I do appreciate how they still kept most of the horror intact. They need to go back to that.

What was truly mesmerizing and groundbreaking about the first Jurassic Park was the animatronics of the dinos. The audience can tell the difference between something that actually exists in real life and CGI. The further these new movies get from those animatronics, the worse they will be.

Lost World is probably my second favorite behind the OG. The tall grass scene stands up with the kitchen scene and the breakout scene as most iconic from the series

Yes, please give me this movie.

I believe a video game is also in the works that follows a similar premises of a survivor trapped on the island trying escape.

And it seems characters featured in the original Jurassic Park movies, played by Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, would not be involved.

Why 3?

I actually like 3. All of the first 3 were solid imo. It went off the rails after that

Wait, what?

I can maybe understand liking 3. Maybe.

But to call 4 going off the rails compared to 3? Yeeesh

I’d trade talking dinosaur dream sequences for the gymnast raptor killer in a heartbeat

There is a third Crichton dinosaur book, found and published after his death. LINK

I read it recently and it's a good read, but not at all CGI inspired. It's about dinosaur hunters in the old west. It's a fun read, but I wonder if he would have given it a different title?
