I'm looking to possibly switch cable to U Verse. What are benefits staying with Cox? Benefits of U Verse? Of course just want opinions etc to help decide.

The benefit of Cox is that you get CST.
The benefits of Uverse is everything else. Specifically the amount of HD premium channels. That is what I have noticed.

I switched from cox to uverse about a year ago an love it. It's some small difference I notice like the delay on switching channels on cox is non existent and I like the guide better. My only complaint would be the remote being slow to respond some times.

I switched from Cox to Uverse almost a year ago. Would not even think of going back. I don't get Cox Sports, but that's not a big deal.

Also, the whole house DVR is great. Record from any room in the house and watch from any room in the house.

Plus, UVerse just came out with the wireless receiver. Anywhere you want without having to run a cable to the room. I just got one and it was easy to set up and works like a charm. I have moved it from one bedroom to the porch and to my garage to watch football games and other tv. As long as it can connect to your wireless, its good to go.

Wow thanks for this info. Now I can set up the big screen on the porch to watch games and won't have to set up another cable line? Huge.

you can check availability on this page and set up for email notification when it becomes available if not already there. There are 3 streets that are surrounded by uverse where I live and guess which side of the line im on.
