The Simpsons is one of the greatest, most influential shows of all time. Along with Seinfeld it brought us out of the cheesy 80s and into the postmodern 90s. It spun off of The Tracey Ullman Show

Kevin James was on Everybody Loves Raymond as "Kevin". At some point on the show he started being called "Doug", the King of Queens character. I don't know if that came before or after his show started.

It's a shared universe because the entire Everybody Loves Raymond cast did spots on King of Queens.

King of the Hill is not a spinoff. Tom Anderson on Beavis and Butthead sounded like Hank, that's about all they have in common.
