Off the top of my head, Treme is the one right now.

I generally liked the first season, but as time has wore on, I'm more and more emotionally attached to all of the characters for various reasons.

I love that it's slow paced and not one traumatic event after another. Feels like one of the most "real life" shows on tv.

Interesting. I haven't watched it, but I've seen the first 3-4 and loved it instantly.

easy--Mad Men. The Wife and kids forced me to start watching it. First few episodes I just didn't get it and I thought it was like paint drying but I stuck with it. Now they all quit watching a few years ago and I'd never miss an episode. I think it's the best show on right now.

That's one I can see. More of a slow-paced, measured show, that doesn't "fill you up" one episode at a time.

It seemed too episodic to me. Like everything was wrapped up by the end of the episode. Almost like a redneck Law & Order. And then a new set of characters would be introduced the next episode and disappear by the end and never be seen in the series again.

Season 2 stepped away from that and the show got better IMO. The dialogue in the show is awesome.

Makes sense.

I did think they were smart to realize that Boyd Crowder was the best character early on, rather than making him a small recurring piece.

Yeah I read somewhere on here that he was actually supposed to be killed off like the first episode.

The shield. Mainly because I started watching it right after the wire. But I ended up loving that show. To this day Forrest whitakers character is still one of my most hated on tv. He did a great job.

I didn't watch the first couple seasons due to it coming on at the same time as several other shows I watched. I finally started watching it after it moved to another night and went back and watched all the others and it quickly became one of my favorite shows.

I'd say Breaking Bad. Wasn't impressed at first but I stuck with it and was rewarded in the later seasons.

S1 was decent
S2 was good
S3 was great
S4 was f'ing incredible

*haven't seen 5 yet

Mad Men. Felt like a chore to get through the first season. So glad I stuck with it.

I loved The Shield from the get go.

Loved the brazen pilot with Mackey showing his evil on a grand level out the gate.

The Office seems like the obvious answer for me.
