Best movie I've seen in the past 20 years. I absolutely love this movie. They did an amazing job with the ensemble casting:

The leads were just ok with Slater and ARquette, but the supporting cast was perfecto.

Walken
Hopper
Oldman
Pinchot
Rubineck
Sizemore
Penn
Rappaport
Pitt
Gandolfini
Sam Jackson

There are 3-4 scenes in this movie that absolutely kill.

1. The Drexel scene
2. Hopper/Walken
3. Arquette fight with GAndolfini
4. Elevator scene with Slater and Pinchot.

Tons of greatness in this movie.

I always wished that Tarantino would have made a prequel to True Romance based on the Oldman character. Oldman is too old to play him now but I really think that could have been a great movie

I think True Romance ended up being so good because Tarantino did NOT direct it. Just did the writing and Tony Scott executied it nicely.

Might have been a cool crime/gang movie to do a prequel focused on Drexel. I think with the amount of makeup he wore for that role he could still pull it off.

did he ever release the version where slater dies in the gunfight? that was the original script but he was forced into the hollywood ending.

walken hopper scene might be my all time favorite. i really just love the overall feel of True Romance. Deals with a lot of serious shite, but you never feel like it takes itself too seriously. great flick

Always liked how Mr. White references that he worked with Alabama in Reservoir Dogs.

My favorite all time movie.
An epic cast of characters with a monumental gunfight.

Don't bother. It's totally unwatchable bilge. One of THE worst I've ever seen. Although if you are a 17 year old male full of piss and vinegar, you could potentially like it.

Truly truly awful flick. Literally no redeeming value whatsoever.

Damn, it took Jersey almost 15 posts to come in and call something popular total crap. Were you on the shitter or something?

Seriously, Jersey...this is totally shocking.

I like plenty of popular stuff. But I hate Tarantino (I do like Tony Scott in general). This movie was billed to me for YEARS as the be all end all. I was shocked when I watched it how terrible it was. Truly shocked. The only other movie in recent memory that I can think of that was intended as a serious effort that was literally zero stars was Signs.

I thought it was good but not great. They've been making couple on the run movies since the 30s and I didn't see anything in this one that made it stand out from the rest.

The "Sicilian Scene" alone is worthy of a film hall of fame.

Floyd has been Brad Pitt's best character.
