True Detective be Breaking Bad?

(Season 1 of TD of course) Which do you like better? Apples and oranges maybe? But TD season one is the best show EVER in my opinion. Thoughts?

Like I said ......Apples and oranges?....I'm just referring to how well done the shows are. I think TD is unbelievable "pound for pound" lol....just my opinion. I could side with Breaking Bad too

First off, you can't compare a single season show to an entire series
Second, season 1 of TD is not best show ever, but it was awesome. Last couple episodes knocked it down a notch imo

True Detective's ending killed it. Because there's no payoff to the interesting aspects of the show, i cant rewatch it.

True Detective S1 is great, but not the GOAT. However, the long tracking scene in episode 4 is definitely on the short list of greatness.

I just watched it 2 times while on a very long trip, and I'll agree. It was brilliant as hell up to the ending, and then finished with something of a thud. It was a great ride though. And I am hard pressed to name a better season. Maybe Fargo 2 but it's close.
