I was watching a documentary and it got a little into it and I've seen it other places as well. He would just refuse to work at times. He'd demand rewrites in the middle of production. If he didn't like someone, he'd get them fired from set.

Batman Forever isn't that bad of a film at all. But because it was directed by Schumacher it gets lumped together with Batman & Robin.

Batman Forever is actually my second favorite film of the original Batman franchise (behind Batman '89). Val Kilmer wasn't a bad Bruce Wayne/Batman and Chris O'Donnell was pretty solid as Dick Grayson. Jim Carrey was freaking legendary as The Riddler and who the hell can forget about the smoking hot, in-her-prime Nicole Kidman? The weakest link in that film was Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. Other than that, Batman Forever is a pretty solid and very fun comic book movie.

Oh and it has taken them so flippin long to do a sequel that the F-14 was phased out of Naval use. Hope they just stick with the F/A-18

Is Maverick still going to be the unorthodox guy that bends the rules even when he's the Chief of Naval Operations?

I doubt they will have Maverick as a 4-star admiral in this. My guess is he will be an O-5 and in charge of the school.

He'll be Viper. The old guy, full of wise counsel and sage advice.

Will recognize potential in the raw recruit (played by Idris Elba) and will help him overcome his failings while staying true to himself. He will also try to get some of the "street" out of him.

And the school is no longer at Miramar, they moved in the mid 90s to NAS Fallon, Nevada.

Not that Miramar/San Diego was really featured in the first one, still some little farming town east of Reno has to be a less desirable location.

Maverick could write his own ticket. He probably transferred to someplace cool when that happened.
