This. In my top 5. I love Brazil, but this one is a masterpiece.

imo, Twelve Monkeys is incredibly OVERRATED. Not remotely in the same league as the three films in the OP.

Brazil
Munchausen
Time Bandits

Brazil made you feel. I also liked the 1984ishness of it. The other two movies were also great. Did the Pythoners ever make a bad movie? Even A Fish called Wanda was good enough.

Tap the brakes, baw. Yellowbeard is a hybrid - half Python, half Mel Brooks and it is fantastic.

They are all hybrids, but the post I replied to listed a Fish Called Wanda so when he said Pythons I took it to include the hybrids too.

And probably I need to give the three I listed another chance. I was pretty young when I saw them and I was hoping for another Holy Grail.

Brazil is in my top 5 of all time. You can watch it 20 times and notice something new with every viewing. Clever beyond words, entertaining as well. Its certainly not one of those critically acclaimed movies that's a miserable to watch.

Both these are awesome. I'd go Time Bandits and 12 Monkeys are my fav two by Gilliam though.

Interesting considering you're one of...what...two people in this thread who believe 12 Monkeys is GOAT.

So much in your post

I kind of enjoy Erik the Viking. I wouldn't call it great, but I don't think it's bad. It has its moments.

BTW I think A Fish Called Wanda is pretty hilarious. Very enjoyable movie.

Uh, no. I think it's more than that.

And then there's the legions of people on other websites and in all walks of life.

I love Time Bandits, but it's not even in the same neighborhood as 12 Monkeys. shite, as a pure film, I thought The Fisher King was better.
