1. Clarification: how did he know to go 88 mph, how to activate the flux capacitor. Sure he could drive the "hover car" and the coordinates are already in there, but doesn't the delorean need have the flux capacitor activated?
He stalked Marty and Doc all afternoon and overheard them.

5. You're right. my mind totally spaced on that. However, that still leaves the issue of my 1st question about Biff being able to return to the "original future 2015" timeline after he's given the almanac to young biff.
Legit question. Seems like he would have returned to hellscape 2015 which would have stranded Marty and Doc in original 2015 without a time machine.

Because she wanted to bang him.
Really though, she checked his pants pockets but he didn't have any ID on him so she took off his pants thinking he might have his name written on his underwear. Since his underwear said "Calvin Klein", she assumed that was his name. Writing your name on your underwear was much more common in the 50s.

The train fit the past era though
He had to use what was available and a train had enough power to make it work..
Remember.. they tried the car, they tried the horses.. it wasn't strong enough..
Doesn't matter if people saw it or not.. they had to make it work with what they had available..
