how shitty the ending to Part 3 is

a. When Marty returns to 1985 at the end, the Delorean is destroyed by an oncoming train. Several hours later he and Jennifer go to the site- theres a car in a million pieces that was hit by a train- there are no cops, onlookers, or train people there, like it happens every day

b. Doc creates a time traveling train? How discreet. No one sees the flying, loud train in the middle of the day

c. the child actor that plays Doc's son points to his dick and starts to cry because he has to pee in the middle of the scene.

It had some moments. But yeah.

BTTF1 is one of my top ten movies though. MJF absolutely killed it in that movie.

I want to say that in the film, that scene isn't shown as close up as that. More difficult to notice, because I hardly noticed it one time after knowing it was there.

By the clip and this picture. I'm guessing Verne Brown grew up and is now serving 25 to Life for some horrible crime.

Good news for those who, like myself, have never noticed that before. You aren't in the habit of looking at the crotch of young boys.

The bad news is that you probably won't qualify for the priesthood.

Frodo Baggins is the kid in the 2nd film that makes fun of McFly for playing a baby's game at the bar.

You're in luck, BTTF2 is on Sundance right now. Popping popcorn right now.

I like all three movies, especially the third one. Biff is what makes these movies so great, if you ask me. Maddog Tannen.

If any are on, I will watch them, even though I've seen them all hundreds of times.

Needless to say, I watched a lot of back to the future this weekend.

Things it reminded me of...

1) How did old Biff automatically know how to use the time machine to go back to 1985? And how was he able to return to that timeline - since he would have already given the almanac to young 1950's Biff and thus have been in the "bad / powerful Biff" timeline

2) How did doc know precisely when to "rescue" Marty from the top of Biff's building when he jumps?

3) Where's the "alternate 1985 Marty"?

4) Why didn't George and Lorraine seem to "recognize" Marty as he approached his teenage years - "hey didn't a guy that looked like this help you out, George, at that dance back in High school?"

5)Why doesn't Marty or Doc use the time machine to go to a few days before "original" marty finds the almanac in 2015 and just buy it before him, to prevent all the ensuing chaos?

The biggest mistake is the clock tower being struck exactly at 10:04
They had about a 1% chance at absolute best of guessing the exact second the lightning g would strike and go into the flux capacitor.

Wouldn't it be a 1/60 chance

1. Old biff went back to 1955 because those coordinates were already in the computer.

2. Total plot hole. Probably just went looking for Marty and just ao happened to be in the right place at the right time. Basically a deus ex machina.

3. Boarding school in Switzerland. Biff mentions that in one of the conversations with Marty and Lorreign in hellscape 1985.

4. I guess they just never put two and two together. George never came across as being the sharpest tool in the shed and neither did Lorriene.

5. By that point, they can't. They wouldn't be going to the 2015 when the book is bought, they would be going to the 2015 timeline where Biff has had the book the whole time. The only way they could return to the original timeline was to go back to where the timelines diverged and prevent that from happening by going back to 1955 and making sure that Old Biff handed over the almanac so he'd leave the past believing he succeeded, but then steal it from Young Biff so he couldn't use it to create the hellscape 1985.

1. Clarification: how did he know to go 88 mph, how to activate the flux capacitor. Sure he could drive the "hover car" and the coordinates are already in there, but doesn't the delorean need have the flux capacitor activated?

2. probably.

3. Good catch. I must have forgotten that part.

4. lol

5. You're right. my mind totally spaced on that. However, that still leaves the issue of my 1st question about Biff being able to return to the "original future 2015" timeline after he's given the almanac to young biff.
