Steven Spielburgs sound guy took it from some shitty movie. I think it's been used so often is basically public domain.

Never really paid any attention to this. But, last night Earthquake from 1974 was on and i'm pretty sure i heard it a dozen times.

I'm not a big fan of the Wilhelm Scream. It takes me out of the movie when I hear it. Sure, it's only for a second or two, but I don't want to be thinking about making the movie while I'm watching the movie. I do that too much already, and the Scream doesn't help.
