Bump to discuss the tease that maybe the Whisperers are coming to the show very, very soon.

I'm pretty sure it is the Oceanside community that will be introduced. Whisperers won't be introduce until after the war. I would not expect them until season 9.

Good call. Nobody eating fish is kind of silly to me.

I have not really thought about that before. You would think you would see a rod and reel on every truck/car.

I mean there has to be a pond/lake/river in the area

Any chance to see The Whisperers this season will simply be a character hiding from Walkers and hearing them talking. No way they fully introduce them until after season 8

This is my least favorite part of the comics. I'm suffering through it.

Just finished The Whisperer War Part 6 of 6. Negan at the beginning was funny. Slow pace up until the very end.

My prediction is that ending will force them out of Alexandria/Kingdom/Savior HQ and back on the road to the location of the survivors that Eugene contacted on the radio. After a lot of people get thinned out escaping.

from AMC, season 7B preview:

quote:

The first half of Season 7 saw Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group broken by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), forced to fall under his will and brutally convinced to live under his rules. The second half of the season will focus on preparing for war and gathering the supplies and numbers to take Negan down once and for all.

Rick’s group will find out yet again that the world isn’t what they thought it was. It’s much bigger than anything they’ve seen so far. While they have a singular purpose - to defeat Negan - it won’t come easy. More importantly, victory will require more than Alexandria. They need the numbers of the Kingdom and the Hilltop, but, similar to how Rick felt, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Gregory (Xander Berkeley) do not want bloodshed. To convince them otherwise will take more than speeches. The lengths Rick and the group will have to go to in order to find weapons, food and new fighters is nothing short of remarkable.

We’ll meet new survivors in incredible places. We’ll see Rick and the group tested in ways we’ve never seen before. We’ll see treachery from people we trust. Rick is confident as he will see his group and many others band together with the common goal of taking down Negan. But no amount of planning will prepare the group for all-out war with Negan and his army.

They've released the covers for the next two issues, and they seem to indicate what's about to happen.

Good to hear. If we were about to have rebuild and defend Alexandria from a third group of enemies I was done. They have spent too much time there.

I agree with that. I'm just not sure I want to read through multiple issues of wandering around aimlessly either. I hope they have a new way of doing it.

That's what it's there for. I see no reason to kill off Negan. I see Sasha will be getting Holly(comic) treatment next week.

tzimme4, any reason you stopped posting full episode spoilers? I really enjoyed yours and others spoiler posts.

Also, any idea on where we are in relation to the comics? Or has the show completely veered away from the comics?

Thanks

Oh wow! I completely forgot about that! I sure hope this happens. The show has been bad or boring lately.

7.15

7.15 has several Sasha-Negan scenes after she is captured by The Saviours at the end of episode 14.

She is held by Negan and looks like she is following many, but not all, of the comic Holly story.

In 15, she asks for water and a Saviour wants to exchange for water for sex.

Sasha isn't having it and ends up punching the guy and breaking his nose.

Negan comes across him and asks him what he was doing in there with Sasha. He puts two and two together and just kills the guy with a knife through the neck.

So this part of the comic involving David and Holly is going to play out a little differently but also a little the same.

Negan goes to talk to Sasha and offers her a knife plus four choices -

1 She can try to kill him with it, 2 or she can slit her wrists with the knife, or 3 she can sit/do nothing and wait for the Saviour to turn and eat her face. Or, 4 she can use the knife to make sure her water-for-sex guy doesn't turn AND join the Saviours herself.

Negan says he respects her "giant arse balls" and wants her to help him run The Sanctuary.

Then we see Eugene visit Sasha in her cell. She asks him what The Saviours did to him and he tells her they are keeping him safe. He had been too scared to refuse Negan's offer and admits his cowardice about it.

Eugene tries to convince Sasha to do the same as him, but she tells him to "Go!"

Tara is at the Oceanside village again. She'll make a great speech int his episode. She wants their guns or else Rick & Company will just attack the place and take the weapons anyway Tara wants to find a way to do so without bloodshed or harm to anyone.

Some of the Oceanside folks want to join Rick's group. An army of walkers is coming close and after they take care of those, they finally get the guns. It gives Tara and the others a chance to see exactly how well or poorly the Oceanside fighters do.

Negan goes back to talk to Sasha about her choices and it looks like she is going to accept his offer.

Negan knows Rick and the others are up to something. Sasha will be needed to help him fight them all.

Eugene talks to Sasha though the cell door again and tells her that she's made a good decision, but she has changed her mind again She says I was wrong. I can't. I won't.

Sasha wants Eugene to get her a knife, gun or a razor blade. She thinks she has to die. That way Negan won't be able to use her to hurt them all- Rick and those fighting with him.

Eugene says he will consider it and she thanks him.

Back to Tara and Oceanside where one of the women wants to go with Rick's group It seems the friendship between Tara and Cyndie is growing stronger with mutual respect on both sides.

Eugene goes back to Sasha and has agreed to grant her wish after considering it carefully.

He just happens to have that poison pill handy (he made for the Wives in 7.11, remember?)instead of the other weapons she had asked for earlier.

The news of the poison devastates her. She obviously had a plan to kill Negan with the knife, but Eugene believed that she wanted to kill herself.

He tells her "For the record, I don't want you to go, but it sounds to me like you happen to be already gone."

Episode ends at the ASZ with Rosita, Dwight there with her. Daryl wants to kill him, but Dwight says he wants to help them win against Negan and The Saviours.

Final line- Rick pulls out his gun, points it at Dwight's head and says "Get on your knees."
