Give the title to Elyjah now.

Wow. Pharrell looks like a genius sticking with him now.

He's going to have to step up the song choices for James David because Craig stood out a lot more.

Agreed. And I think he will. JDC is badass and he will shine. I feel like Craig is more narrow of an artist but he does what he does really well. So I feel like we will see a lot of those kinda of performances from Craig.

I'm watching tonight's episode now and will post my stream shortly.

Ryan Sill. Nothing special but I thought he sounded pretty good. Nothing special.

Jean Kelley. Am I wrong or is she not on pace with the music? She sounds okay but it's throwing me off that she sounds so off.

She's trying so hard not to cry. But the coaches are spot on.

Elijuh just killed that pretty hard. Wow. Only concern is that sometimes we see people peak here and then never be able to match it again later in the show. But that was legit awesome though.

Bryana. Never heard this song but it's a good choice. I dig it. She did a good job IMO.

Luke. This may sound weird but I thought that was a good performance but he didn't sound that great. I really like him though.

Anita. I want to hate the song choice but I think it fits her pretty well and she just needs to find spots to shine her voice. Meh. It was okay. I'm not her biggest fan though.

Adam tells every person either that he loves them, or "you know how much I love you." It's very annoying.

Danica. I think she sounds good but this song isn't right here. It felt...boring I guess.

Sugar Jones. She sounds good.

Ricky Manning. Never heard this song but he seems like he's singing it well.

This season's talent really does seem like it's much better top to bottom than just about all previous ones.

Taylor #3. Love the song but bad choice IMO since it's such a straightforward singing song. He's doing a good job with it though. I kinda dig a bluesy take on this song. It sounds cool.

Adam, stop making this shite about you and taking focus off of Taylor. That's very Christina of you, you douche.

Some of my favorites have just sounded like crap over the last two nights. I'm so disappointed in Jean Kelly. She really did sacrifice her singing to overacting.

Dammit. Typing the last line and the post froze and crashed.

Short version.

Didn't like Pharrell's sing at all and he looked ridiculous.

Everyone's had their teeth whitened.
Ryan was okay. I didn't jump up and down.
Jean- I didn't even remember her and I think she's in the most danger out of this group. She was off somehow.
Elyjuh was terrific. Control, range, tone, stage presence. Has it all. The kid is great.
Bryanna was pretty good. She's so young.
Luke- I really like him, but this wasn't my favorite of his. I don't think his moment was big enough for a knee drop. That looked cheesy. Hope he's not in trouble. Maybe my expectations were too high.
Anita- I don't like reggae and I don't like this sing or performance. She's comfortable on stage, she's just not my style I matter how good she is.
DaNica slayed this song. It was great. I loved it. Made me want to listen to Joni Mitchell. Her stylist sucks. She needs a new one.
Sugar was good I'd rather her be Sophia Jones than Sugar Jones. Lame name to choose in my opinion.
I can't remember Ricky's sing. Maybe I didn't know it. I remember thinking he improves with each performance.
I loved Taylor's take in that song with the exception of his pronunciation of "with". That was strange. He's got the talent, but needs to continue working on his stage presence. He looked blah during a lot of it.
Jean is the most in trouble out of this group. I'd get rid of Anita as well.

I hate Sugar Joans' personality, so I have a really hard time enjoying her performances. She comes off as fake and arrogant to me.

Not a die hard fan of the show but I watch it occasionally. Sugar Jones was amazing, and win or not, Pharell made it clear he will be working with her in the future.

Whoever the dude was that sang "Let's Get it On" was an abortion of a rendition, and sounded horrible.

Most annoying about last night other than Adam, was the fake high note at the end of all the songs. It's played out.

The thing I most enjoyed about last night was watching Pharrell "the producer" working with them in rehearsals. That was blowing my mind how he was adjusting every single piece of the band in between takes to fit what he wanted. This guy is ridiculously talented.

To my rankings:

Team Gwen
1. Bryana Salaz
2. Taylor John Williams
3a. Ricky Manning
3b. Ryan Sill
5. Anita

Overall her team is pretty weak IMO. I could easily shuffle 2-3b and not be upset either way it turned out

Team Pharrell
1. Danica - amazing talent
2. Elyjuh - killed it last night
3. Luke Wade - wasn't his best but his unique style and tone belong on this show
4. Sugar - her and Danica are redundant on the same team and I prefer Danica
5. Jean - she gone

This team is STACKED. Sucks that 1 of Danica, Elyjuh, Luke and Sugar has to leave so early because I feel all of them are better than anyone on Gwen's team

I'm actually voting for the first time this year because they made it pretty easy on the app

Yeah, it was out of place. Especially considering he sort of did it between singing...so it's not like he was singing all emotional and fell to his knees; he just sort of knelt down and then started singing again. Seemed really forced and weird.

Yeah, that's why I said a while back, in theory, he is the best coach because he's not a singer as much as he's a producer. So he knows what to do with your talent and how to make it/you shine, whereas the others are singers/lead singers and are mainly focusing on you sounding good (which is important).

Same with CeeLo in the first few seasons when he was focusing on other aspects (like the performances) and not just the singing. And he is a producer as well.

Yeah he seemed to take it to another level though. With the adjusting of the bass on the keyboards and telling the guy which snare to use, it was awesome to watch

Who did he do that for? I FFWD'd through a lot of the pre-performance filler last night.

Jessie v Tanner-I think I thought Jessie was a strange steal for Blake. Jessie's first words have me convinced Tanner will win this. I just don't care for her style. It would get old for me. When her voice lapses into a bit normal, she could be better. Didn't like it. Tanner takes it for me and he's a better fit for Blake. I hope he keeps Tanner. Damn. I wanted to see that kid grow on the show. I hope we don't hear the same thing from Jessie over and over again.

Jessie/Tanner. Your Song is an awesome song, but I'm not crazy about this version. And Jessie kinda does the weird pronunciation, so frick her. She did well, but still... I swear Tanner is 12 years old. He did a decent job and didn't win, but frick Jessie. BOOOOO.

i'm a little behind and just watched the first day of knockouts last night but I had to come and make sure y'all were hating on someone I really liked. good to see the tradition continues

So in other words, you still like borderline shitty singers who pronounce their words like a mentally handicapped person having an aneurysm?

Good to see the tradition continues.
