Oh, and interesting note. It's probably better financially and career wise if you don't finish first or second. The top two are tied to NBC by contract for, I believe, two years. Nos. 3 and 4 can do whatever they want and they all have offers.

Basically the same way on American idol. I haven't heard anything about the two previous voice winners anyway though.
