Klaus said he didn't destroy Elijah's family's bodies. For some reason Elijah wants them. There was no sign of Klaus and Elijah in the preview for next week so I'm guessing we wont see them again until season 3.
No idea how Damon and Stefan are gonna be able to kill Klaus now

have to assume if the rest of the family are also originals, then they aren't permanently dead, either... maybe if Elijah can get the bodies, he can bring them back? Could be as simple as removing a dagger tipped in the ash of that tree from their bodies? But yeah, they both suck.
Bonnie rocked, but the whole time, I felt like everyone back at the abandoned house was taking things a little casually. Like, hello, sh*t is going down, maybe get a move on and act a little more like you feel the urgency of the situation!
I was shocked about Jenna, and suprised about John. It was pretty much a big giant downer.

I didn't think about them being originals. I guess thats a good enough reason not to kill Klaus

had to know it was coming, with the Stefan foreshadowing heart-to-heart with Elijah, "I wanted to kill my brother a thousand times, but I could never do it" speech...
Bonnie was bad arse when she was like, "Do it or I'll take you both out" and when she was told it would kill her, she just spat back, "I don't care!" Too bad that they have that super vampire speed and got away so quick.
And what's Katherine gonna do, stuck in that apartment? Since Klaus isn't dead and Elijah spirited him away, I have to assume she's just stuck there unless they made a quick stop off to get her on the way to the secret body location...
and you can assume that maybe all the tears took place off screen, but it sure felt like except for when Elena was crying at the actual moment Jenna was staked, there was more of a "Aw, man!" type reaction to all this death. "Jenna didn't make it? Aw, that sucks..." "Jon's gonna die to bring Elena back? Hmmm... okay." No primal wailing grief scream from Ric? No wracking sobs from Elena and Jeremy for losing the only family they had left? I think I was more upset than they were!
And now that the researcher extraordinnaire is burnt to a crisp (the only thing Isobel was good for), who is gonna unearth the mystery of how to save Damon from the wolf bite? Maybe it's in one of those bazillions of witch books Bonnie now has or the very convenient Gilbert journals that always seem to turn up JUST the right info at JUST the right moment... dagger tipped in ash? Check... leave it in the body? Check... give up your soul to save another? Check... Keep a vamp from dying from a wolf bite? Stay tuned...

Omg what a wild finale!!!!
Not bad. Klaus' blood as a cure for Damon was pretty cool. His use for Stefan seems pretty fuzzy. He alluded to another motive to be revealed next season. Looks like Elena is going to have an affair with Damon while Stefan is off on a killing binge. Looks like the cost for Bonny bringing Jeremy back to life was the resurrection of two vampires, Anna and I guess that was her mother, Pearl?
Should be another good season coming up. I'm thinking Elijah might be resurrected yet again.

That wasn't Pearl that was Vicki Donavon. I hoping Jeremy would say "I see dead people"
Klaus definitely has an alternative motive for Stefan, bringing him along just to kill a lot of people is kinda weak. It's weird to imagine Stefan killing a whole village of people but I guess that's how bad arse of a vampire he was. Oh and Klaus is pretty bad arse in his own right. I know he's the bad guy but his swagga is off the charts
I don't think Damon and Elena are gonna become a couple for a while, no way she switches to him just like that. Maybe she'll go searching for Stefan or something like that next season. I don't think she'll accept him being gone and be ok with it
It's gonna suck having to wait all summer for new episodes

It's my favorite show on tv right now. Make sure you stick around and join in on the season 3 thread in the fall

Nice grab. So Matt's long dead sister, Vicki, is back. Not sure Matt will be too happy to see her back from the grave as a vampire. Damn, Jeremy my have a trio going: Anna, Vicky and Bonnie.

I couldn't tell if Anna and Vicki were "back" or if Jeremy is seeing "ghosts"--are they back-back for good (cool, fine) or just there to haunt him and mess with his head as a punishment or the price you pay for coming back from the dead? At any rate, kudos for that part, it was extra-creepy, which is what I like about that show and has been lacking lately. Liked the way it was done there at the end.
I am NOT liking this Stefan-as-a-Klaus-lackey deal. It seems stupid. I hope there is a more legit reason given next season than just "I can use a talent like yours." Klaus is the most powerful vampire AND werewolf in existence now, with all of the benefits and NONE of the burdens of both species. What on EARTH does he need from Stefan? I would have preferred if he just wanted to collect a menagerie of interesting supernaturals to surround himself with to keep from being lonely--that even makes more sense than "I need a ripper." He doesn't need a ripper--he's the *ultimate* ripper. Why bother with a reluctant, essentially infant-aged vampire (compared to an orignal)? Perhaps more to be revealed here...
I laughed at Ric messing with Jeremy. "You can thank me tomorrow... and the next day... and the next day..."

Likewise. Seems like a weak turn of events. It would have been a lot more credible of Klaus' saving blood was traded for information of some kind. Just not feeling the Stefan has reverted back to his cruel vampire ego but I guess if their goal was to add some spice between the Damon/Elena part of the trial then I guess it was one way to achieve it.

yeah--I could buy into Klaus just like wreaking havoc and forcing Stefan to abandon Elena to the wiles of his brother creates havoc, so why not? But then again, Klaus is a thousand years old or so, don't petty games get old? I'd think he'd be like, "meh" and just move on.
Some enterprising person can apparently just pull out a bunch of ash-coated daggers and revive a whole family of originals if the mood strikes, however. At least, I assume that's what will be found in those coffins he's hauling around with him... If Stefan took it upon himself to do that (esp with Elijah), he might find he had some grateful and powerful allies. Just sayin'...
And where the heck was Tyler during that episode? Totally MIA. And what exactly does his mother DO that gives her any kind of power to tromp into the Sheriff's office and throw threats around? Last time I checked, a Sheriff was an elected official but a socialite wasn't...

I've been wondering about this. Bringing Anna and Vicki back as vampires wouldn't be as cool as if they are ghost/zombies. A storyline where Jeremy can see and speak to all the dead people in Mystic Falls would be kinda cool.
I can't wait for season 3! I've been watching some episodes from season one and it's crazy to see how much the story has developed since the first season.

yes--Caroline's character has definitely evolved. She probably improved 100-fold by becoming a vampire. Jeremy is way-different too, not just some slacker-druggie trying to get over the loss of his parents but seems to have somewhat of a purpose now. Interesting that the two people who he's seeing are the two girls he loved and now he's in love with someone new. This could create a little tension if they are are BACK...
