While I know it isn't the scariest movie, nothing ever freaked me out like the ring

The ring is a stupid concept, but the movie itself was well done. Cinematography was excellent in my amateur opinion, and pretty much made you ignore the part where the kid comes out of the TV. Great sense of place

TBH, I probably wouldn't watch it by myself today

Wait until dark with Audrey Hepburn scared the crap out of me as a kid. Not that scary now.

Also the premature burial.

In the Mouth of Madness is one of my favorites.

An American Werewolf in London
Bad Moon
Howling 1
Silver Bullet

I used to have a legit fear of werewolves as a kid.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers was pretty decent. Another movie called "the Unnameable" I remember being pretty scary, but I haven't seen it since I was a kid.

When I younger I saw The Shining and that movie had its moments between redrum and Here's Johnny.

But the TV show(not movie) that got me and still have issues with sitting in a window seat next to the wing is the Twlight Zone episode with William Shatner and that gremlin on the wing.

The Howling was pretty disturbing for its time.

recently I'd have to say Lake Mungo

I saw it like a year ago alone at night in my house and it just creeped the hell out of me

Same here. But I was real young (4-5) and only remember bits and pieces from that first viewing. I do remember standing up through most of the movie and learning later that the spiders I thought were climbing on the backs of my legs were actually just my parents' fingers...I love my parents but that was a real dick move.

I'm surprised I only saw this mentioned once, but the Exorcism of Emily Rose had me freaked for about 2 weeks. Was scared shitless going to bed that I'd wake up at 3:33.

The Ring was absolutely nuts in theater. I was in 8th grade sitting next to a 9th grade girl and I was pretending to watch the movie while not actually watching the screen so I wouldn't appear to be the little bitch that I am.

There were parts of The 6th Sense that scared the crap outta me.

The Others was pretty scary and is actually my favorite movie out of all of them.

The only horror movie that even remotely ever gave me the creeps was The Babadook. It was just something about the noises he made in the dark corner of the room that was just kind of creepy.

The Ring movies, to me, are some of the worst horror movies ever. Why no one ever kicked that bitches head in as she was crawling out of the TV was beyond me.

Agreed. For some unknown reason, my parents thought it was a good idea to take me and my brother to see The Shining when I was 10 and he was 12. It freaked me out right from the opening credits.

They were probably mildly stunned that there was a bitch crawling out of the tv.

Yeah but some of them knew it was coming. Especially the ones in the last Ring movie.

The tone and music of Sinister gets pretty freaky.

Jaws has messed me up forever. I dont go in dark water and even look twice in pools.

I still jump when the sister in Pet Cemetery runs towards the screen. fk that girl lol
