Do we really need 7 Game of Throne threads at the top of the TV/Movie Board?

I mean plot-wise. Many arcs weren't even touched upon and the ones that were were just a re-introduction of the characters and current situations.

I mean there was a character introduced that we assume to frick shite up at some point and we found out where most main character/story lines were at and what they were up to. Pretty much what i expect/want from a season opener

I'm reading them. My wife only read the first one. We both noticed that nothing seemed to happen in the first episode this season (probably just getting people re-acclimated) . Maybe I haven't paid enough attention with the news on the future of the show, but do they plan to break every book down into two seasons?

Probably so from here on out. First, Martin is notoriously slow in completing the books. Second, the remaining books after the first are just chocked full of information. The TV production would have to cut out a lot for each book to be well represented by one season and keep the seasons a reasonable length.
