Is it bad that I still haven't seen the movie? I tried downloading it and the one I got had horrible subs so I never got around to finishing.

When it first came out, the subs were terrible. The actual Japanese version with English subs is out now. Probably a good idea to watch it, man. It's worth it.

Not at all. It's a movie, which means...

It's extremely entertaining and in every way better than most of of the buu saga and all of GT and you're too stubborn to watch it.

That's not saying much though, especially GT.

I enjoyed the majority of the other movies even though they don't fit into the main storyline at all. I just always looked at them as kindof an animator's showcase for badass fight scenes.

Toriyama did indeed say this new one is canon though.

Why's that a bad thing?

I just hope it's showing within a reasonable distance from me.

It's a slippery slope. Next thing you know, he'll be saying the other movies are canon. Which will then lead to GT being considered canon.

Except he was instrumental in creating the main villain among other things in the movie. He had a hand in creating it. Doesn't get more canon than that.
