I had never heard of this movie, but I had HBO free for a weekend, it was on, DVR it, and watched it last night. Thought it was a really good movie. Ryan Gosling should do more comedy. Anyone else watched this?

I couldn't decide if this was a really good movie or a really bad movie.

I hope they make a sequel.

Loved it. So much stupid humor right up my alley.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, it is a little quirky but good. Lots of boobs helped a lot too.

It's Shane Black doing what he does best. Terrific movie.

The elevator scene is one the funniest things I've seen in a while.

I was thinking about watching this one tonight with the SO, but she doesn't like stuff with too much blood and unnecessary cursing. Would she hate this movie? I know they kill a LOT of people. She doesn't mind killing, just prefers not to see blood and guts splatter everywhere.

I thought it was really good and very entertaining. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling surprisingly have very good chemistry.

It's more of a comedy. The killing and any accompanying gore is subdued by the comedic context.

see post on elevator scene.

I really don't recall it being gory. It has been a year since I saw it, but "bloody" isn't something that stands out.

It was kinda stupid but had a good pace. the story was a tad ridiculous, reminded me of 80s buddy movies.

But I enjoyed it.

Probably why I enjoyed it so much. I'm a sucker for buddy movies. No doubt it was stupid as hell but I was in tears at some parts laughing so hard. I think mostly because I had no expectations and didn't realize it was supposed to be that funny. Gosling was great.
