From the trailer, it looked to be a cheap rip-off of the Hunger Games.

It's ok not awesome,but not terrible
The Maze Runner book series is better. I think the books are better than the Hunger Game Series ... but the first two Hunger Games movies are better than the Maze Runner movie

Same thing happened to me with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I slept through most of it, thank G-d.
Maze Runner looks terrible, but the acting gets a little bit of praise from critics.

Thought it was good. Only comparison to the Hunger Games were they were teens.

I saw it about a week ago.
It was alright. Just enough to keep me paying attention.
The story is simple and formulaic and characters just get thrown into the mix and just kinda exist there without adding or detracting fr the story. For example, the female character is just "there".
If you are watching it for free, go ahead.
Let's just say, it isn't Divergent level bad.

The lead girl just didn't sell me at all though. At the end when she becomes a "bad arse" I just couldn't buy it.
