Mistakes happen. I doubt they have functioning abortion clinics.

And to be fair, they’re repopulating the world at this point.

See you guys keep proving only stupid people like this show. I said I was done watching the show, my last post was responding to another idiot who didn’t get the joke I made before because of course you people aren’t smart enough to understand humor. It’ll be ok just stop responding and I won’t have to address any of you again. Your circle jerk will be less effected by honest evaluation just the way you like it.

You'd be dead within 2 weeks in a rural area, you wouldn't make any right decisions.

Hell..youre not making any now.

Which monologue? Maybe I'm miss remembering. But he was still cold and treated it like a business relationship up until she went off on him. After that is when he showed up at the stable. He wasn't going to do that until he saw how she actually felt and it moved him to want to continue to personally be her protector. quote:His level of feeling has grown with each episode. A small amount, yes. But for the most part she was still just precious cargo. Now she is someone that there is a personal attachment too. That certainly didn't happen because of the letter. Just saying it's become clear that was a filler episode, which is fine. It was a love story, but it didn't do anything/what people were trying to make it out to be for the main story.

This is the wildest of takes.

They could not have been more on the nose with the whole “the more he cares about her the weaker and more afraid he is” theme.

Please tell me you trolled me with the “precious cargo” line.

Goddamnit you got me.

It seems many of the naysayers are familiar with the game and not sure the two will ever coexistent just like Game of Thrones books readers versus the show watchers.

It also seems that the people criticizing the show want an action show when this is clearly a drama.

Reminds me of episode 3 when they lost their minds b/c I told them this wasn't a Michael Bay movie. Proving my point every week.

Uh...people weren't mad about E3 because there weren't explosions, dude.

I'm finally caught up on the last several episodes, and I am still digging it. There are some things that annoy me about it, like decisions or unbelievability at times (like the shootout scene against Kathleen and her goons when the zombies rise from the ground). But ultimately it's been really good so far IMO and very enjoyable.

I don't like the big time jumps, but I also get why they exist and am okay with it.

That town where Tommy lives was pretty badass. I'd definitely be trying to live there if I were Joel/Ellie. And I loved the communism talk in the episode, that was great.

I've played the games and the first one (in which the show is based so far) effected me on an emotional level that few games do. Yes both games are excellent stealth/action combat games but the stories are also well told with great characters and voice acting. TBH I wasnt sure if there would be much point in watching the show as the game handled the drama and characters so well it seemed redundant. I've been pleasantly surprised though and while it does differ in some ways , the over all themes remain intact and the heart of the main characters are present.

I'm glad they chose to veer off from the game script as it gives those of us that played the games a fresh perspective on the world the game built.

Yea parts of that scene were not shot very well either. I lol when Henry was talking literally 15 feet away from Kathleen and they acted like they didnt know which direction his voice was coming from.

You clearly didn't read all the bitching about not including the mission to the school with the bloater. It was a common meme.

But even the minor criticism said "yeah I thought the story was OK but could have been done more quickly" Why? To have more action.

There's a population who REALLY wants this to be an action series when it's clearly not that.

Right. It was smokey, but damn he ran out in the middle of the street and grabbed the kids and then ran about 20 feet to hide behind a small van.

But like you said, that whole scene was just sort of odd. The zombies all out attacked some people and completely ignored others. And people took way too long to realize what was going on and act. Also, how the hell the dude in the house had no idea Joel was trying to go around and confront him is a mystery to me.

To be fair, I did eventually check out of that thread because it was the same stupid shite over and over by the same parties.

I mean, the inherent setting means there will be action at some points. But I am in the camp of E3 being an almost complete waste. I could've done without the gay shite, but that didn't bother me as much as wasting that much screen time on a story that didn't ultimately matter. Sure, the episode moved things forward in the sense that Joel finally got a working vehicle, but that could've been done in a fraction of the time. And Bill/Frank dying in the end made it even worse for me, since we got all this backstory that ended up being almost completely irrelevant since the characters don't move forward with the story (I am sure we'll see them again in a flashback at some point, but still..).

So I didn't need "more action." What I needed was "more relevant story."

shite, I wish we'd have gotten more insight on Joel and Ellie's travels to Wyoming outside of a small pitstop in KC. Like it's been mentioned, I don't need to see them shitting in the woods and hunting things for weeks on end, but we just jumped forward three months and that journey seems fairly significant. I get that if that's what happens in the game then it is what it is (although I have no idea...I am game ignorant). But it still would've been nice to see other things during their travels literally halfway across the country.

I have said from the beginning that the "game purists" should just re-play the game.
