Really good movie. One of the better thrillers I've seen in the past couple of years. If you haven't seen it, don't watch a trailer, don't read up on it. Just watch it. It takes you for a ride.

The more you're able to focus in and the quieter in your home it is the better. It messes with your emotions big time

Awesome movie. Very much a slow burn. You knew something bad was gonna happen. It was just a matter of time.

Holy frick. Watched this movie last night and it was freaking crazy in a very good way.

SPOILERS

Several questions though, was the ending supposed to kind of be open ended? I mean, I get that it was a cult of some kind, but I mean the entire Hollywood Hills taking part? It was a good ending, I just was kind of confused as to what the point of it all was? Were the emergency vehicles and helicopters in on it, or were they responding as to why the frick there were red lamps lit all over the place? What was the purpose of the entire event?

It was just a mass cult suicide. They said earlier in the movie lots of people in LA and New York were in the group so it's obviously a coordinated event and the lighting of the candle was a signal to begin. The emergency vehicles were simply responding to the mass chaos.

I watched it tonight. Wow, really good, and I probably would have never watched it without it being mentioned on here.

Any thoughts on the fate of Claire?

I was thinking about the same thing last night and I decided she's alive. The way I look at it, it was supposed to be a coordinated timed event ordered from higher up. I doubt Pruitt would go against the plan. Plus, it was supposed to be a painless thing so I just don't see him murdering her in the driveway. Just my take on it.

Edit: now that I think about it, maybe it wasn't necessary for the deaths to be painless. All the screaming and mayhem at the end suggests there were other killings aside from just poison. Maybe it was just Eden who wanted it to be painless for everyone. Either way I still think Claire is alive
