I've watched most of the new stuff so I decided what the hell and gave this a watch. The plot is shallow, the dragons or whatever they're called, are stupid as frick, and the acting is atrocious. I bet Damon has nightmares about this one. There isn't a single redeeming quality in this movie from start to finish

eta: the new Assassins Creed isn't far behind this one.

eta: Why the hell would your top warriors bunjee jump from a platform into a swarm of lizards? Who thought that was a good idea?

AC was a bore. I couldn't even finish it and I am a huge fan of the games

The Great Wall looked bad in the previews. The CGI looked exceptionally bad. Did they fix it for the film?

The whole movie I kept trying to understand the character Damon was going for. I don't think I've ever seen an actor phone in a performance this bad in my life. I just got this William Shatner vibe from him the whole movie.

It was really underdeveloped character IMO. He was a brick on the Great Wall.

It was also Willem Dafoe's worst performance I've ever seen. They could have gotten Tom Green to take that role and it would have been the same.

People often say "film xyz" is one of the worst films I've ever seen," and I always wonder how many movies they've seen because there are some fricking awful movies out there.

When people say..."worst movie I've ever seen" they are separating it from stuff like Troll 2 and Killer Tomatoes...

It's more big budget Hollywood A-lister star - worst movie I've ever seen.

Plus they were hot. No way does an army waste hot women like that.

But the movie was entertaining. I've seen way way worse.

Yeah it's an overused, watered down phrase applied to so many movies. Great Wall was far from the worst I've seen.

I've seen a bunch. Some just stick out to you as really bad.

I'm more so speaking in terms of big hollywood blockbuster films. Tons of low budget bullshite movies out there, but those don't count.

It was worse than BvS and Suicide Squad

I liked it way more than Suicide Squad and probably even more than BvS. The story made just as much sense and it was more fun.

I liked it more than Zoolander 2, Indiana Jones Crystal Skull, the last Die Hard, Legion, Wolfman, Independence Day 2, Paul Blart, 2012, the last few Fast and Furious movies. Off the top of my head.

I'd personally much rather watch Great Wall again than Mona Lisa Smile, Notebook, Crying Game, Titanic although I understand those movies would be considered higher quality.

I actually liked Zoolander 2.
I don't get why everyone sh$t on it. The original was retarded, and so is the sequal. It's supposed to be dumb. I guess too many people were expecting some high brown comedic masterpiece when Zoolander was never that.

No one can say a movie is the worst of all time until they watch The Last Airbender.

This movie was made by china to show their dominance over the west. They baited you into watching it by hiring matt damon.

I hope you know their film industry is run by China as is their music. Creativity and Freedom is frowned upon, shite they once called an equivalent of a congressional hearing on why they can't make a good TV series like their Korean neighbors.

But kind of digressed there, this entire movie make more sense if it is not about Matt Damon, but more about the Chinese actors and Matt Damon is just there to witness their "nobility" "intelligence" and "honor" with wide eye wonder.
