so they are skipping the other two? that's really a shame, i loved the fincher version and the cast.

That's what they made it into, but it wasn't written by Stieg Larrson. I honestly haven't even seen the first American one. I thought the originals were great, so I have no need to see a remake.

I loved the Fincher one (I'm a little biased as he's my favorite director), but thought the Swedish ones were great. Really wish they would have finished out the series.
I'm a little over halfway through reading this one right now, and it just doesn't have the same feel as when Steig was writing them, but the story is just as compelling.
