Heck I totally missed that. When did he say that? That would make a crap load of sense if he really was Pariah.

At the start of the show, he was downplaying his success, talking about how he was now stuck in his wheelchair and a "pariah".

Just watched this week's episode and digging it so far. Any idea if they're going to go the same direction as Arrow and begin setting up a season long villain soon?

Or are they already doing that with the Professor?

I was thinking they were already doing that with the Professor. With the Flash, you have more than a few "Big Bad" type of villains that could be the focus of an entire season.

The writers will move the show along at a pretty fast pace so I'm thinking we may see two big bad's per season possibly.

I'm enjoying Cavanaugh and I hope that he doesn't leave the show or have to become a non-regular once he's outed as a villain.

And I'm in no rush to see Caitlin and Vibe transformed into their super-characters. Everything is working perfectly as is.

How they play Caitlin's evolution to Killer Frost will be interesting. I can see it being either a progressive and intriguing evolution, or some crazy/abrupt evolution that feels forced.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since their evolution of Thea has been really good up to this point in my opinion (taking her from a spoiled/rich kid who got away with doing whatever she wanted, to becoming a responsible person running a business, to becoming jaded because everyone in her life was lying to her, to now being trained by her real father to become a killer (presumably)).

Hopefully they let Caitlin's evolution play out slowly over a couple of seasons at least.

ETA: And like FK said, I think they could stretch out Wells' story line for multiple seasons as well. There shouldn't be any rush to out him this season.

Pun intended:

The Flash series moves at a much faster pace than Arrow, so I'm wondering if they will stretch character development out as they did on Arrow with Speedy and Thea.

Took an entire season for Roy to become Speedy/Arsenal.

It will be interesting to see how they do cross over episodes with Arrow. Flash takes a supernatural approach while Arrow aims at a little more real world circumstances. It will be interesting to see how they merge the two approaches.

Really diggin Flash so far, probably more than Arrow. FX have been on point.

Y'all better hope that the walking dead posters don't make it over to this thread with all of the spoilers people are droppin.

The decision was made back during the 1st season of Arrow that we'd allow comic book talk in these threads (and then we re-establish it in the proceeding seasons threads). The non-comics readers actually liked the fact that we discussed how the characters were portrayed in the comics because it gave them better background to the characters, and they were then better able to catch all of the easter eggs that were dropped in each episode. Plus the show runners don't necessarily follow pre-existing story lines from the comics.

And btw...I've already told the non-spoilers walking dead posters in their thread to stay out of the Arrow and Flash threads.

I wouldn't classify this as spoilers. Merely background info that writers can take from. Its exactly what the Walking Dead does, but those idiots can't grasp that concept. There is a huge comic world that writers can take info from. None of us know if they will use it as the comics did, or change it.

However, to save some belly aching if one of those posters would to come into this thread, maybe put "Comic Discussion Permitted" or something like that in the title.

I'm too lazy to research all the people, so I let this thread fill me in.

Ummm....no. We've never had to do it in the previous two Arrow season threads, so we shouldn't set a precedent now by doing it with the Flash thread. If someone wants a non-comic discussion thread they can make their own, but that would be a fairly short thread considering the comic discussions are what makes these threads so enjoyable.

No, they're setting Thea up to be the Mia Dearden version of Speedy.

Roy skipped Speedy and went straight to Red Arrow.

I figured I'd go ahead and bump the thread for tonight's show. Looks like we'll get more insight on what happened to Caitlin's fiance (who is going to be Ronnie Raymond).

ETA: You beat me to it WBC.
