True, the showrunners have proven to take a lot of liberties with the comic characters and fit them to their story. I'm just saying that they have a lot of options in how they create their villains, so they won't have to rely on a random "freek of the week". And a lot of the villains will probably be somewhat recurring, and not just one off villains.

I hope they hold off at least one or two more seasons before making Laurel BC. But I hope they don't try and give her the sonic screem meta-power. I think that they need to be careful how they allow people to get those powers. I can handle the accident in Central City giving people in that city powers. But making it to where anyone can them would be a mistake in my opinion.

If they take a page out of Arrow I don't expect a freak of the week, at least not once they really get the show rolling.

exactly. i think its going to follow the same type of model just a different tone and feel. i mean its the same show runners and the damn intro is practically the same "my name is barry allen..."
they will introduce villains for a reason and not just "well, who's going to fight the flash this week?"

I trust them running any show at this point, but i'm kinda glad that hasn't happened. Keep it to Arrow/Flash and if there is ever a 3rd down the line then i'm sure they'll find another suitable hero

I went back and re-read the interview and he was talking about a comic series, not a tv show series. I editted my post.

i hope the show is more sci-fi than "streets" like arrow. id like them to really explore the weird things that come with the flash and his territory

Goddamn, that looks fricking good.
This is going to be a good series.
This pisses me off that he's going to be in costume in the first season and doing superhero shite and we had to wait ten years on Smallville for Clark Kent to become Superman and we only got five minutes worth and even then, we still didn't get a full shot of him in the suit. Maybe they'll do another series and call it the Last Son of Krypton or we can get a series based entirely on Krypton and focusing on the events that led to Krypton's death and Kal-El's departure to Earth.
This is going to be a good series.

That was their plan from the start and they were very vocal about it. It was never intended to be a Superman series.

Hopefully they'll reboot it one day and they won't touch smallville's continuity at all. It will be its own finished universe like the Nolan trilogy is.
I just want a good Superman series. I still can't get over that disaster of Dean "fold arms Superman" Cain.

From this preview, ten times better than what I was expecting. Wasn't impressed with the lead from what I've seen up until this point, but that extended preview sold me.
