Obviously it's made all the more emotional by the fact that this stuff really happened, but even after 11 years I can't get over how well shot and crafted this final scene is. When I watched it in theaters back in April 2006 I was on the edge of my seat throughout.

United 93 is the best film to be released so far this century. And the ending is one of the biggest reasons why:

Why you got to do this with a 9/11 movie? That's low.

It's not one of the best movies of any time ever, but that is a really good scene. I can't imagine ever watching the entire movie, though.

Yep these fricking cowards attack civilian targets. I usually prefer a hands off government but scenes like that show why you have to show your teeth sometimes.

Forgive me for having my own opinion. Last time I checked, all film was subjective. Apologies that my #1 film from the first 17 years of the 21st century isn't No Country For Old Men or There Will Be Blood. Those two movies, while great, weren't as good as United 93 in my opinion.

And I'm also pretty sure Buzzfeed would never hold with my opinions as they are a liberal rag and I myself am quite conservative. But whatever.

Hyperbole (n)- when you sound like a fricking retard

ETA: for what it's worth, I think it's a very good movie; however, you need to tame your hyperbole down if you want your opinion to be taken seriously.

I'm not talking about necessarily your opinion, or your politics...but the "Dunkirk to be the Shortest Film since Nolan's opening..." "final scene of United 93 is one of the most emotional and impactful I have ever seen," and "United 93 is the best the film this century."

Everything is the -estest

When you start a thread with that kind of proclamation it's really tough to go anywhere from there, have a discussion, or have a debate. And all news articles like that are so empty. Buzzeed was a huge progenitor of that concept and ruined magazines like Men's Health, Inc.Com, etc. Everyone just posts "5 Steps to be the best version of yourself." "This one New Product is F-ing Amazing!" "Why the Kardashians are the Best family!" "Moonlight is Best Movie Ever, Here's Why"

The M/TV is better than that.

How about "Paul Greengrass is brilliant, because x, y and z lead to an extremely impactful close to United 93. How do directors build that kind of intensity over the last 6 minutes and what other films have that kind of intense close?"

You're turning an opinion into a statement of fact. Then not really asking a question...like what's the point?

United 93 is the best film to be released so far this century.

It wasn't even the best film of 2006.

I took my children to see the film in theaters in 2006. It is an excellent film for what it is - a dramatic telling of the events of that flight.

From a film "analysis" standpoint, I cannot endorse your "best film of the century" (trolling or not) - I'm guessing I still have No Country in that spot and it will be difficult to dislodge.

However, as you suggest - that is an emotionally powerful final scene. Certainly a Top 15 candidate for that category.

The only thing that would have it better for this guy is if they changed the line to " Let's roll TIDE!"
