I've read the whole series so far, including the novellas. The first book was my least liked of the series. The newest book is probably my second least liked of the series. It's good space opera, not great IMO.

Thomas Jane was an excellent choice to play Miller.
I really like him as Miller, although from reading the series, I pictured the main characters older.

The recent episode really tied things together

It is. They're translating it well to the screen so far. I'm on book 4 and the story is still compelling so I hope the show keeps going.

I really like how they're blending in the novellas with the show. So far we've had The Butcher of Anderson Station in season 1 and The Epstein story this week. The Epstein Drive story isn't in book form fwiw. I read it on the expanse syfy website last year before season 1 started. Can't seem to find it now.

I haven't read the novellas. I was wondering if the Epstein story was from one of those or if it was original for the show. The discussion of g forces and the drive is certainly present throughout the books, so I thought that was an effective way of doing it on tv.

Well that was certainly a slower episode. Necessary, with setup, but slow. I think there are only a few left this season.
I know how I hope this season ends - very vague but major SPOILER:
"We need to talk."
End vague but major spoiler

I can't think of any other way it would end at this point, but you never know. There is a lot of great story that's possible based upon the book blueprint and how they are mashing together the novels/stories.

We need more people watching this show. I just finished book 5 and so want to see that put to screen.

I'm not able to watch it live. Not sure what this episode is covering. Is it Mao?
