So this is debuting right now on TBS and I'm unimpressed. The kids are foul mouthed little idiots and the two parents are complete morons and assholes and most importantly, it just isn't funny. The writers are trying way too hard to be edgy and shocking but they forgot to be funny.
Also the main guy seems like he's trying to be Ed Helms.

I like Ed Helms but this show is like Hangover 3 bad and he's being more like Ed in that than say season 3 of the Office or the Hangover.
I mean there are many worse shows on TV than this one but I just think it's trying way too hard to be vulgar and shocking.

Yeah I will literally never watch another episode. I just left the channel on TBS after the game. I chuckled at a few lines but I can't remember now what they were.
The wife was hot but the kids, like you said, were fricking terrible. In what world is it realistic for a kid to put a sign against a window and the parents not notice? My mom would have slapped the sign out my hand before I even thought about sticking it against the window

I laughed at they way he yelled "what the frick is that" to the we've been kidnapped sign but that's probably just because he sounded exactly like Ed Helms in the Hangover.

Plus this show was created by Samantha Bee who is the biggest count on TV and it's no surprise the only jokes she can come up with involve profanity and nasty, dirty topics.

It would be pretty easy to do I would think. Especially if you are looking at the road ahead.

yeah, the "unrealistic" part to me is a couple of truckers taking it seriously and trying to save the kids.

For some reason, pretty much every show created by TBS, TNT or USA has fallen flat for me.
I think there is a huge gulf between FX/AMC and everyone else.

I watched the first two episodes. I enjoyed it.

First episode was OK.. some funny stuff towards the end with the kids and the "ice cream parlor" wink wink.
Second episode was MUCH better. Wife was cracking me up... I've had friends back in the day who were just like that on "logic-impaired" days.

For me, USA peaked when it had Burn Notice, Monk, and Psych all running at the same time. They've had a nice transition into Royal Pains and Suits but since then it seems like hardly anything makes it past two seasons with them. It's gotten to the point that I have a hard time getting invested in anything they do b/c it's probably going to get canceled quickly.
