I believe I am the only person that, until recently, had never seen the Big Lebowski. It was unanimously a funny and great movie to all friends and family members. Everyone talked about it like it was a masterpiece.

Well, I thought it was average at best. It had some good moments in it, but I had to pause it twice because I was so bored with it. I do not get the hype for this movie.

You're in luck, because we don't give a shite!

I kid.

But seriously, find a cliff and jump off it.

All cult classics will be perceived as overrated.

maybe not of all time, but yeah, it's up there.

it's a good movie, but it's one that people devalue by talking it up too much

I consider myself a Coen fan. Arizona, Fargo, O'Brother and No Country are among my favorite movies of all time. I liked some of the others too. I fricking hate TBL. It is terrible by any standard and even worse compared to the good movies made by those guys. Not sure I laughed once. Terrible casting of Bridges, and tired use of Goodman. Terrible unfunny movie.

lol wut? Even if you hate the movie, and obviously you do, Bridges was great as The Dude.

How do you love the quirks of those movies, and have such animosity towards TBL when it's the same type of quirks and story telling?

I have to admit I was in this boat too when I first saw it, but I gave it another shot and another shot after that and it grew on me. I own it now.

A Serious Man is still the Coen Bros. best flick.

It's ok, but there are much better films out there. It's not as good as the hype.
