Must be spoof night or something, never thought I'd see Anchorman on TCM either... It's barely 10 yrs old... But I'm damn sure DVRing everyone one of these.
The Naked Gun:From the Files of Police Squad! - 7:00
Top Secret - 8:45
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy - 10:30
Stange Brew - 12:15

Great lineup, but no Airplane!? Anchorman is interesting because its relatively new. Is this the most recent TCM movie they've ever aired? Hot Shots! would've been a good addition to this as well. And maybe all these films have the same writer/producer or whatever but how could they leave out the GOAT spoof, Dr. Strangelove?

Strangelove is more satire than spoof... Plus, it's kind of in a different league, cinematically speaking, than these.
I'd think Anchorman HAS to be the newest movie they've ever shown. I remember being shocked when they showed 'LA Confidential' last year and that movie came out 20yrs ago.

Yeah maybe I was reaching on Strangelove. Different category.
As far as years go, Im sure 2004 is the most recent film. I did just see that TCM is showing Lord of the Rings on Monday (2001) that's got to be close to the second most recent movie

At least Lord of the Rings has a very "classic" feel to it... Anchorman on TCM is just so out of left field. Who cares though, haven't seen it in full in years.

They're doing a tribute to slapstick comedy this month. I wouldn't call any of these movies classics, or even necessarily slapstick-except maybe Naked Gun-but that's their call.

Naked Gun- Top 5 comedy for me
Nice beaver. Thank you, I just had it stuffed.
