I say he was, maybe could see very, very little, as from evidence of his actions in the Fix-It shop.

It's been years since I've "seen" (LOL!!!!!) it, but I didn't think it was debatable.

By people that have seen the entire movie? I'm not sure it really has. Him being blind is an end of movie reveal that recasts every scene before just like the plot twist at the end of the 6th Sense where we find out that Bruce Willis was a ghost the entire time. I'm not really sure what there is to debate about it.

Why would this need to be debated? It was pretty clear he was blind...

How would anyone argue that he wasn't blind? That's a major part of the movie.

Been a while since I've seen it too but I remember the whole point being that he was blind and God was "leading" him

He may be not 100% blind, like maybe he can tell when it's sunny or dark out and shite like that. But he was basically blind

He says it early in the film, "I walk by faith not by sight"

The original name of the movie was "The Book of Eli Fant" but they ended up shortening it so as not to confuse zoo-goers.

Yes, but he was blind and thought he was a white supremacist.
