He's the modern Thomas Edison. Moreover, he and his overly expensive gadgets have created a cult of sycophants who, like Jobs, feel like he deserves every once of credit for products he simply made obsolete. He did change the world, but not for the better.

Honestly, I was way more interested in The Social Network than any Jobs biopic. There's an actual story with Zuckerberg and that meteoric rise. And his arrogance and unlikability actually plays better for a narrative. See the Jobs and his daughter stuff, such a douche, no sympathy or innovation there.

I love Apple products but I cant imagine giving a shite about the life story of the guy who invented them. Just weird to me.

I love Oreos but don't need that story either.

Honestly, I don't know why anyone would be interested in this outside of Fassebender. His story just isn't that interesting.
I'm not a Steve Jobs fan, but his life and atypical personality is interesting enough to make a film.

When you add a strong cast, talented writer, and director (I really like Boyle), then people will naturally be interested. I mean David O. Russell's biopic film with Jennifer Lawrence about some relatively unknown (compared to Jobs) home shopping network woman looks interesting.

Frankly, whether you're personally interested or not, I find it strange that a person with your film knowledge would have trouble understanding why OTHERS would be interested.
