On episode 4 and this show is pretty addicting, I can't believe I never gave it a chance before.

I didnt watch the x-files until it was cancelled. The 1st 4 seasons are definitely my favorites. When they got into the long story archs and agent doggies was introduced i pretty muched stopped watching

Jose Chung is the best episode but dont listen to those who say the series gets worse at the end. Give it a chance.
Also realize after season 4 or 5 you will have to rent the movie

Definitely one of the more unorthodox X-Files episode. Very enjoyable.

The Peacock family will open their Home to you soon.

Some X-Files fans hate what I'm about to recommend, but I personally enjoy watching the series more by separating the main storyline episodes and the MOTW episodes. Otherwise by the time I get to another storyline episode I've forgotten wtf is going on with it.

They usually give a pretty good recap when you get to those episodes

I didn't start in order. First thing I did was watch all of the Smoking Man episodes, then went back and watched the best rated stand-alone episodes, then just started watching random ones after that.

Easily a top 3 for me, along with Bad Blood and Clyde Bruckman.

I didnt get the Clyde Bruckman hype
Yeah it was a good episode but everyone says its the best one in the series and I thought it was good, not great.
I dont even think its in my Top 10 X Files episodes.

I won't argue that it's overrated.

X-Files = best drama/sci-fi series ever.

Yeah I used this as a general guide of what episodes to watch. Some MOTW episodes are too good to skip over and I think this guide kind of outlines those. The Essential X Files-Reddit
