starting new series: ray donovan or shameless

i am off for the next few days, and want to start watching a new series. I narrowed it down to Ray Donovan and Shameless. They both have similar rating on rotten tomatoes and imdb with shameless rated a little higher. Which series does the board recommend?

I quit watching Shameless because it got ridiculous and repetitive.
Ray Donovon was really good in the first season, haven't started season 2 yet.

I've watched both and like Shameless a lot too but having to pick just one, go with Ray Donovan and it's not even close.

Haven't watched Shameless but I thought season 1 of Ray was good. Haven't started season 2 yet.
If you don't like either of those, try Power on the starz channel. I watched the first episode the other night and thought it was pretty good

I really like both, but Ray is a much better show.

Season 2 was better than Season 1 of Ray. Season 3 has pretty pretty good.

Shameless is fun unless you know someone that came from an insanely broken home... that makes it insanely depressing.

My favorite show. Season 3 has been great too, Episode 3 might be my favorite of the entire series.
