How did I miss this on Netflix? It's a truly fantastic show, sucks that there's only eight episodes. Kind of not wanting to finish because I don't want to wait until July to watch new episodes.
One question, does nobody besides Mike in his family check the basement? Seriously it's been a few days since Eleven started living in the basement and nobody has gone down there.

It's a great show. As a kid who grew up in the 80's I enjoyed the nostalgia a lot.

Great show with an awesome style. My only complaint is they revealed too much of the mystery too soon. They should have slowed down and revealed a little slower.

It's a sweet binge. Can't wait for S2.
Not to hijack your thread, but there's a recent movie I doubt many have seen called Midnight Special. If you like Stranger Things, check it out. There are parallels - though it's not based in the 80's and without spoiling - a similar theme.
Plus the Johnny Greenwood score sounds like he's been watching, too.

I sincerely hope you mean Nancy. Or the mom.
And not Eleven...who is 11.

Wish I could forget that I watched it so I could watch it again, because

fantastic show. as a kid who grew up in the 80s, i loved how the sheriff made notice of will's bike and that he wouldnt have just left a BMX behind cause those were like cadillacs to those kids.

If it couldn't get anymore nostalgic, Sean Astin joining Season 2, ought to be great chemistry between those two.

I was gonna wait until right before season 2 to watch season 1 again but I've really been itching to rewatch

When I was a kid the basement was my domain, almost no one else in my family went down there except occasionally my dad when he was doing something in his workshop. And that was a finished basement with a living area and game room, not an unfinished storage dungeon.
A few days to a week is certainly reasonable.

Watched it last week and liked how it took me back. Was around the same age as the boys in '83.
Impressed with Rider though I'm worried she's kinda playing herself.
