Following the first Force Awakens TV spot earlier this week, ABC has today announced that it will air a new “special look” at The Force Awakens this Thursday night. The new Star Wars footage will be hosted by the casts of the network’s “Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away with Murder”. Rey could go dark. If you read through the outlines and synopsis she is very angry when she finds out Luke is her father. It would be awesome if Kylo goes light and Rey goes dark and we end up with a super powerful female Sith.

Have they said how much JJ is going to be relying on the prequels. That's where the whole concept of "balance" in the Force came from.

I wasn't talking about balancing the force I just meant balancing the protagonists and the antagonists. Needs to be about 50/50 in Star Wars flicks.
It would be cool if Rey went dark and killed Luke and Kylo went light and took up Luke's green saber. Then the ending battle is between the blue and green lightsabers
But I doubt that's the direction they're going. Probably Satisfying the SJWs by giving us a female and black protagonists. Which isn't a totally bad thing

Otherwise, Luke, Rey, Finn, Poe and Kylo are all good guys and that leaves hardly any major players left on the dark side and First Order. They're essentially pulling a Darth Maul on Kylo Ren without killing him and taking away all his complexity
I think Kylo will stay evil until at least the 2nd movie where he may turn good and Domhall Gleesons character or Poe will turn to the dark side. Even if that happens, I still don't see it being balanced enough on the dark side of things. In the end. It will likely be
Luke vs Snoke
Finn vs Poe
Kylo vs Rey
I would love to see Luke be grey. Using both sides of the force, and be over powered to hell and gone. Then doesn't act until Snoke is revealed.

I see your point. On the other hand, we have no idea how many other future villains there might be. Del Toro is supposed to be a villain in the next one, and there could always be more. Additionally, I don't think it necessarily needs to be a balance in numbers. What if Snoke is the only force sensitive villain in the next films but is extremely powerful? I think it could work.
I think if we have multiple characters shifting b/t light and dark it would get a little too confusing and seem like the whole "switching" aspect is being over used.
But that's just my opinion though. I mean you could always be right and they could always do a good job with it.

I think the only possibilities of character switching could be
Poe to the Dark Side and Kylo to the light OR
Rey to the Dark Side and Kylo to the light:
I think regardless Driver's character is related to Rey and the Skywalker lineage and he's going to be a major force in this series. I personally hope he's in the same mold as Vader but has the balls to overthrow Palpatine/Snoke and become the baddest baddie in the series. I think Kylo being a pawn makes him less interesting and more of a bitch. And the Kasdan has said he's never created a character quite like Kylo Ren in the movies he's worked on.

I read the comics they came out with yesterday. At the end Luke gives poes parents some kind of tree from the Jedi temple. Idk if that may have some future effect on him or not.
