The animated series definitely are currently the driving force of the franchise. BB seems to be another good addition

Is it all at once, or is it a weekly release?

Looks to be a weekly drop. The SW cartoons are best to be binged. S1 was good so i am hoping S2 will be half as good as “Tales Of the Jedi”

One thing I liked about Bad Batch was how they explained the phasing out of the clones and the transition to new recruits.

Seems like they use the animated series to fill in a lot of the gaps or make things make sense and fill plot holes. Or at least Dave Filoni makes it his personal mission with the animated series to do that.

Nothing new in star wars as there wasn't a plan to expand the universe like it has. It is why we have a storyline for an ice cream maker in ESB. Filoni is the guy to do it

aka The Omega Show. Clone Wars is good, but this one is a bit too kid-geared for me, and Omega is not a very interesting character.

I'll gove Filoni a chance with her. I hated Ahsoka and she developed into one of the most important characters. He did a great job there.

I watched half of season 1 with the kids, after we went through clone wars and rebels, but none of us thought omega and co were that interesting.

But your comment makes me interested in going back. Some of the best clone wars episodes were quite dark.

I see they added a little girl main character per Kathleen Kennedy mandates. Woman-Wars is still going strong and independent.

Kathleen: "OH wow, that's a great idea, but I can't help but notice there are no main female characters. Where is the appeal to our female audience? This is a company that champions the female experience in the star wars space and we require all the stories we greenlight have a strong female presence because we support a diverse and inclusive storytelling philosophy at Disney. Do some re-writes with more inclusive elements and get back with us for another meeting. "

Yes, this was a key hole in the franchise up until Bad Batch. I was very happy that Filoni wrote that in

Has anyone been watching this season? Kinda slow so far, with the last two episodes kinda filler episodes. It’s gotten quite dark a few times already.

I though the last episode was a great one off fun episode, but you do get the sense with the comments towards the end that this might be leading to something down the road. The racing made me think of pod racing in episode 1.

Lucas basically dropped the ball after the original trilogy and was happy making money off everyone else expanding it for him. The problem came when Disney and Kennedy ignored everything that was out, now considered Legends, as she tried to expand it herself.

Why he has been tapping into Legends. Thrawn came from Legends. I hope we continue to see more dots being connected via Legends into Canon.

If Kenobi from the book series would have been used for the series it would be a lot better.

Yeah it wasn't terrible by all means, just not doing much to advance the plot right now.

The Cid comments could definitely lead to something. Like she might double cross them, but I feel like the bond they're building could cause her to change her ways.
