You don't like Ahsoka?

She's ok. She's there. For as much as people complain about whiney characters in Star Wars media, she is the first one that I have truly found to be whiney. And she feels so much like a vessel for the audience than a real character. It all falls flat. I like her better than Ezra though. I wish both CWs and Rebels hadn't done the whole mentor thing. I know they had to though.

From a story telling point of view, I could see Ezra actually making it since he would still be relatively young in the ways of the force. It's far more believable that he might not be part of the Battles at Yavin, Hoth, and Endor.
I guess Kanan could just decide the rebellion isn't worth the death and destruction, and decide to not join the rebels. But I really doubt that happens. I've always figured he'd go out trying to protect Ezra like he almost did with the inquisitor.
But I just don't see any way they can explain Ahsoka not getting involved with helping Luke, especially once Yoda dies. That just wouldn't make sense imo.

I agree that there is a 90% chance that Ahsoka is killed by Vader.
I just hate watching characters I like die.

There was some hair brained theory early on when the show first started that it wasn't really Bothan spys that got the Deathstar plans to the rebels but the crew of the Ghost. I always really liked that theory because it explains why they arnt around for the OT and gives them a heroic send off.

That would be pretty badass.

Also, if you like the show and need something to tide you over until the season begins in earnest, I would highly recommend you check out the "New Dawn" prequel novel that shows how Kanan and Hera meet. Its a fun story that really dives in to who Kanan is and really fleshes out his character. It has a great villain, lots of action, and a lot less kid friendly than the show.

Good show. Could do without the kid and the Twi'lek. Do they really need 3 girl leads?

I don't think Ahsoka will be a lead in Rebels.

I think it's like 5 or 6 years before A New Hope.
The show starts place 14 years after Revenge of the Sith.
Ezra is actually younger than Luke (13 when the series begins.)
If you assume Luke is between 18-21 in A New Hope, there's a 4-6 year period between the START of Rebels and the beginning of A New Hope.
