They don't necessarily need to have been "stars" at the time, because there have been some great ones like a young Teri Garr


But I just saw one of my favorites for the first time last night, Jason Alexander on Voyager:

Never knew about Iggy Pop. That's awesome.

Apparently Slater was a big Star Trek nerd and his mother was the casting director for The Undiscovered Country so she gave him the uncredited role.
