I'm going with Jack Arnold. He did not look like the kind of guy you'd want to frick with. Plus, he was a former marine and combat veteran.

With any other dad, Karen would have run off to join the Manson family and Wayne would have been the next Charles Starkweather. Instead they came out ok. Guy really held down the fort while working some shite jobs for his family.
