If you HAD to pick one, which Coen Brothers movie would be best suited for a sequel?

It's sacrilege to consider it, IMO, but the other thread brought it up.

They do a good job of wrapping up movies with nice endings, so none really jump out as needing or even allowing for a proper sequel, but if I had to choose, I'd live to see a sequel to Miller's Crossing.

Either O' Brother Where Art' Thou (with the gang getting drafted into WWII and attempting to break out of a Nazi POW camp), or Moonrise Kingdom.

Please God, no.

If you had to, Raising Arizona, because its a comedy and its harder for a bad sequel to do damage to the original in comedies. Besides, it would be fun to see Nic Cage try and occupy that headspace again. Also, it would feature John Goodman yelling, which is always great.

But again... no. Just no.

Appropriately enough, Wes Anderson made a sequel (of sorts, anyway) - it's called The Grand Budapest Hotel.

(Of course, Wes Anderson made Moonrise Kingdom - so not 100% sure why we're even discussing this film in this thread.)

The better question is does it matter?

In the film I must assume he didn't flip, because he couldn't call it for her.

In the novel, I don't recall the result of the final coin toss (other than the consequences). I'm not sure it even said. I prefer the film's decision here to not have Carla Jean call it at all. Makes her a stronger character.

I'd watch a Miller's Crossing sequel just for the intro song. Absolutely beautiful.

Inside Llewyn Davis. Of course he'd end up exactly back where he started.

Damn they'd be in a tight spot.

I'd watch this. Though, I'd probably just prefer them not make a sequel at all.

None.

Most of their movies are perfect as they are.

But go ahead and make a sequel to The Ladykillers i guess? I can;t enjoy that film that much anyway.
