I saw it on Netflix a couple weeks ago.
It brought up old memories from childhood. I remember it came out when I was 9 and my mom would not let me watch it, but my older sister wouldn't miss it for the world.
So anyway, I decided to watch it. It was sooo bad, it was funny. Worst acting I think I have ever seen. I tried to chalk it up to being an early 90's thing, but then I remembered shows like "The X Files" and realized that wasn't an excuse. Do any of you remember it??? If you do, and you remember liking/loving, do yourself a favor and leave it in the past.
Also, I asked my sister about it, and she said she remembered loving it, and tried to watch it on Netflix as well. She couldn't make it past 2 episodes and wishes she left it in her memories.ha I hate when that happens with Childhood movies

I agree about the acting. It has a bit of a campy feel to it. The story was somewhat interesting, but I didn't make it past a couple episodes before I lost interest.
There are some big fans of the show on this board, from what I remember.

I did not see it as the episodes were released; watched back to back downloads a few years ago. It was easily the weirdest show I have ever seen; so weird that it was hard to determine if it was genius or bad acting. Note: I had seen Blue Velvet prior to watching Twin Peaks so I at least to some extent knew what to expect.

I felt like this as well. The plot really wasn't bad, it was mainly the acting.
And I was thinking the same thing as I watched it....was this so bad, it is good?..or is this just so bad.ha
And I knew it was a cult classic, so I figured some people on here might come in here defending it.

Twin Peaks season 1 is fricking awesome.
Season 2 gets a little lost but still a good watch. Every thing in that show is done for a reason. One of the GOAT cult classics.

Currently watching season 2. Some of it is kind of stupid. Season 1 was mostly good though.

I disagree. I was couple years older than you when it came out 11 and like you I didn't watch it at the time. Fastfoward to about 7 years ago or so after really getting into David Lynch movies I decided to watch Twin Peaks. I thought it was great show.

Stick to X-Files.

The show parodies soap operas. The acting is supposed to be a bit campy. Besides, if you have seen any of Lynch's movies, then you know he loves campy and surrealistic acting.

Season 1 is as close as TV will ever come to surrealism. S2 lost the thread a bit, but S1 stands as truly brilliant, unique TV.

it aired in the timeslot after 90210, I'll never forget that because my mom and sister watched both religously.
It's a cult classic for sure. This pie is so good it is a crime.

The over dramatic acting was great and intended.

Halfway through season two I got the feeling that something odd was going on in that town.
