No way that happened and Kylo Ren just didn't say anything about it.

Kylo Ren is a young Dark Helmet.
Bill Pullman left earth for a few years in between Vietnam and running for president in Independence Day, going by his college nickname, Lonestar.
Lonestar ultimately defeats Kylo, who forms the Spaceballs after the defeat of the First Order at the hands of Rey and the gang. Snoke is defeated and goes into hiding, building an army.
Lonestar returns to earth to run for president.
Kylo Ren (Lord Helmet) seeks revenge for the destruction of Space Ball 1 by influencing Snoke's alien army to attack Earth in Independance Day.
Pullman leads the defense of Earth defeating Snoke's army and killing Snoke who was in the mothership, and begins the 20 year rebuilding of earth.
20 years later, Kylo rebuilds Snoke's army and attacks in ID2.
Then, in Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money, Pullman returns to space as Lonestar to finish off Kylo Ren once and for all.
Pullman is the chosen one and Rey's brother.
He's the secret love child of Luke, the perfect jedi, and a woman from Earth, a Jewish-American "princess" who got it on in the back of a Ford Galaxy during the 50s.
King Roland, Princess Vespa's father, rules Druidia and is brother to Leah's adopted father on Alderon. The planets are close to one-another. Druidia had to build the air shield to protect itself from fallout from the destruction of nearby Alderon.
