So is The Brink the Best New HBO Show?

With True Detective, Ballers and The Brink all starting simultaneously I was expecting them to rank in that order
So far it might be backwards for me. Maybe because of the lack of promotion compared to the other two, I didn't have very high expectations for the Brink. But so far it is my favorite of the 3. Not saying TD or Ballers are bad, they have just underwhelmed so far
Anyone else agree?

And I'm saying ballers is bad. Wasn't sure if HBO was going to be able to out "bro" entourage, but they succeeded. No thanks.

The Brink is leagues better than Ballers. Not even close.

I personally really enjoy ballers. Saw first episode of brink. I enjoy it as well, but there are parts that seem a little "try hard".

I'm still watching ballers, it's just so forced. No good characters fails to help that there aren't any good actors on the show. At least Entourage was funny and the guys had a good dynamic. That may happen with Ballers, but I haven't seen much of it yet.

I legit enjoy Brink. I watch Ballers 1.) to wash the taste of TD Season 2 out of my mouth and 2.) in the hopes that the Rock will lay Reggie the frick out.

Consider only three new series on HBO. It isn't that difficult for The Brink to be the best one. TD is rather uninteresting this season and while Ballers is entertaining. It's nothing special.

It's the only one of the three that I'm still watching. Watched two episodes of Ballers and just didn't care about it. Made it halfway through episode 3 of True Detective and stopped. Once it's over, I'll check to see if people feel that it improved over the rest of the season.

It is, but I will say that the Jack Black storyline so far has been the weakest point for me. That could just be my disdain for him speaking, however.

I'm not a big Jack Black fan but he has been pretty damn good so far.
The pilots are definitely the best part of the show though.

It's a good thing they kept the show to a half hour format. it's kept it fresh each week and not worn itself out.

Im enjoying the Brink quite a bit so far. Haven't checked out Ballers or TD season 2 yet.
