Have you seen Wedding Crashers? Ferrel's cameo is spectacular.

It's a movie that gets better each time you watch it

I felt the same way about movies like Napoleon Dynamite and Dodgeball the first time I watched them, but then I watched them again and again and liked them more each time

The Belushi "hamburger" skit is one of those for me. Maybe it would be funny if I was going to places like that before I saw it on television.

That skit was a ripoff of the Monty Python spam skit.

OP..."you'll get nothing and like it!"

SMH.

Caddyshack is a masterpiece.

You probably don't get "Smokey &The Bandit" either.

I can see where it is a little dated.

Meanwhile, the Producers for me is never dated.

You wanna make 14 bucks the hard way?

The beauty of movies like Caddyshack and Airplane!...no matter how many times you see them, you still catch something that you never caught before that'll make you laugh.

I'm 24 and I'm just saying I think it's good but very, very few people my age would have it in their top 10 comedies. Close to 0. Whereas my dad probably would.

There is not an issue with this, just that things change over time.

I'm only four years older than you, and I'm pretty sure this is why the entire world is going to shite.

When you buy a hat like that I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh? Oh, it looks good on you though.

The difference between 28 and 24 is huge. It's a generational line.

It's the difference of going through high school with or without high speed Internet, cell phones, digital cable, standard automatic shite in cars, etc...

Those things fundamentally changed life. And the line from 30-25 is when it happened.

Terrible take OP. One of the greatest comedies of all time. Bill Murray didn't even have a script. He riffed his lines. Brilliant movie

My 15 y/o son saw it for the first time (uncut) last year. He was killing himself laughing. Also, he says Airplane! is the funniest movie he's ever seen.

Airplane was and still is funnier than Caddyshack. Same goes for Naked Gun.

Caddyshack is genius comedy. It was supposed to feature the young guys Chase and Murray, who actually could not stand each other. It ended up being comedy gold with Ted Knight and Rodney Dangerfield. I think it holds up great along with Airplane and Blazing Saddles. All are comedic masterpieces.

Sure, it had funny moments. But I was not impressed with it being a cult classic.

Blasphemy! Granted, I am a golfer which made it more funny. Ted Baxter made that movie, imo.

Dark Helmet: I knew it! I'm surrounded by Assholes!(Pulls down his helmet) Keep firing, Assholes!

and my favorite scene.

Dark Helmet: What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?
Colonel Sandurz: Now, you're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now is happening now.
Dark Helmet: What happend to then?
Colonel Sandurz: We passed then.
Dark Helmet: When?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now. Were at now, now.
Dark Helmet: Go back to then!
Colonel Sandurz: When?
Dark Helmet: Now.
Colonel Sandurz: Now?
Dark Helmet: Now!
Colonel Sandurz: I can't.
Dark Helmet: Why?
Colonel Sandurz: We missed it.
Dark Helmet: When?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now.
Dark Helmet: When will then be now?
Colonel Sandurz: Soon.
Dark Helmet: How soon?
[Corporal rewinds the tape back to scene showing protagonists wandering in desert.]
Corporal: Sir!
Dark Helmet: What?!
Corporal: We have identified their location.
Dark Helmet: Where?!
Corporal: It's the moon of Vega.
Colonel Sandurz: Very good, set a course and prepare for our arrival.
Dark Helmet: [increasingly flustered] When?!
Corporal: 1900 hours.
Colonel Sandurz: By high noon tomorrow, they will be our prisoners.
Dark Helmet: Who!! [mask falls down]

ETA: I would also add Fletch, Chevy Chase at his best. shite, Fletch Lives cracks me up also.
